Fort Lauderdale, FL – November 5, 2019 – The Community Foundation of Broward, Jewish Community Foundation of the Jewish Federation of Broward County and United Way of Broward County announced today that Bernard Krooks, a renowned national expert in estate planning, will serve as the keynote speaker for the organizations’ upcoming 18th Annual Joint Tax and Estate Planning Seminar on December 4. The Joint Tax and Estate Seminar is well known for its cutting-edge presentations by leading experts, superior educational experiences, and prime networking opportunities, and also counts towards two hours of continuing education credits.
A nationally-recognized expert in elder law and
special needs planning, Bernard Krooks is founding partner of
the law firm Littman Krooks LLP and Chair of both its Elder Law and Special
Needs Departments. In addition, he is the immediate past president of the Board
of Directors of the Arc Westchester, which is the largest agency serving
individuals with intellectual and developmental disabilities in Westchester
County, NY.
Krooks’ in-depth presentation, entitled “Planning for an Aging Population and
Preparing for the Unexpected: Designing and Drafting Estate Plans that can
Withstand the Heat,” will outline the steps necessary to help ensure that the
final philanthropic wishes and goals of clients are outlined carefully, carried
out seamlessly and make the greatest possible impact.
